Applying for a grant

The following is a list of all information to be included in the application. Any format may be used as long as all items are included.

  • A cover letter that summarizes the background and purposes of the organization. Include the following; name, address, telephone number, tax ID, website, primary contact person, and the grant amount requested. If the request is time sensitive, please let us know.

  • A narrative that explains the problem or issue being addressed, how that problem is being addressed, and why you think the strategy will be effective.

  • A copy of the most current financial statements for the organization. These may include prior year budget vs. actual spending along with a balance sheet.

  • If applicable, a detailed budget for the specific project including how foundation funds will be used.

  • Any additional materials you feel will provide a better understanding of what your project/organization is all about (optional).
